A Happy Customer & Collector...

Hi, Just a few updates on whats going on inside Chapparrel's Diecast.
Over the last year we have been fielding requests for decals and artwork. Chapparrel's Diecast is not in the artwork/decal business at all.
What we do is custom art for our own cars, and our artisian Jim Dolan (Ghostman Graphics) has no interest in taking up the slack for previous custom printers.
Please understand we cannot get cars done any faster as we had a decal workload for guys doing their own decals.
Ghostman Graphics works closely with racing teams trying to get our art as perfect as possible, and I am very happy with the results.

During the last year I have been working to get my detailers certification and finally did last week. I completed my course and accomplished my goal. This not only allows us to do different things but will improve our creations vastly. Everything I went through was well worth it.
Thanks again and we look forward to the New Year and new racing season.
Sincerely

Hello everyone,
As you may know Champ Car in recent years has yet to upgrade its Diecast chassis so we have been stuck with Reynards. Well Champ Car and Speedgear have struck a deal with Greenlight collectibles to have Champ Cars brand new Panoz chassis produced sometime in April 2008.
This is great news for the series and the fans! Doing what we do here at Chapparrels, this will make for wonderful conversions for many years to come. What we are asking is if you choose to have a “Custom” car created with a certain race/driver, I would suggest that you purchase more than 1 diecast so we can have donor cars to work with. We will stock them, but if you can supply us with donors that would be awesome!
So April '08, look out for the new die casts. I want to thank everyone for being patient with back orders as life has its curveballs that we have to negotiate on a daily basis. But in the end everyone is happy, so again... Thank You.
I am really looking forward to the future. Everyday we miss Earl Ma here because he was infectious with his work ethic and kindness, but myself and Jimmy Dolan, are committed to continue what he would have wanted, and that is cranking out kick ass die casts, that are one of a kind.
Thanks again and we look forward to the New Year and new racing season.
Sincerely

Go Jimmy!
So long, old friend...
Our family member, Bam-Bam, passed away on 2-17-07.
He was 14 years old and the best pet anyone ever could have. He will be forever missed.
Gary, Patricia, Kyle and Kody
This was our first wedding gift. Tiffany and Kyle. Kyle works in Sebastien Bourdais Newman Haas crew and got to work specifically on his 500 Panoz in 2005. So Tiffany suprised him a day before the wedding and presented him the 500 car and this special plaque made by Jimmy Dolan. The plaque is really cool. We have the Vanderbuilt cup on it with a wedding cake and a bride and groom on top of the cup. We were very honored to make their wedding special, and congrats too the both of you.
We are very very happy for you.
Sincerely,
Chapparrels Diecast

The 22 x 28 print features images of famous cars such as the 1964 Lotus 34, as well as chassis from Eagle, Penske, March, Reynard and Lola.
The print is available for $25 ( plus S & H ) through Chapparrel's.

2003 (real Last Lap) Paul Tracy with original names from Last Lap.CA
This is a special car for me and many PT fans. I waited so long for the ability to make a PT championship winner and we finally did it. Jimmy Dolan did the entire set and every name from the original set of names on the real car. We added all our friends from the diecast community and a few family members, and it's really awesome. I am very proud of the way it turned out. Jimmy had to design the name patterns to fit on the car and it's as close to flawless as ever.
See more pictures of the Last Lap.CA car in the" What's New " page
Get well soon, Shorty!

For all the diecast enthusiasts, 2006 is already upon us and I want to take the opportunity to thank everyone for making 2005 a memorable year for me and my family because we met a lot of great fans throughout this racing season.
My artisians were outstanding, and with Earl Ma, Jimmy Dolan and last but not at all the very least, Victor Varela, who runs and maintains my website, " Chapparrel's Diecast " wouldn't exist ! So thank you guys! And Earl, we are all happy you got great news on everything and I will always be there for you no matter what!
This season, I am gonna step up production and get some orders moving faster. I plan on hiring some employees a few days a week and today I got great news, because the one and only "Nubby" from American Choppers, who does all the paint and grafics for OCC will be working with me as soon as they get done shooting the season. Nub is the man, especially here on the east coast and getting lessons from him will just be great for future diecasts. I am sure he can take some of my current work and make it a million times nicer so I am stoked not only for my own steps forward, but for the fans who get our cars.
Look for us on the Tonight Show sometime this summer as we design a Champ Car for none other than Jay Leno! We are really excited to do this and hopefully we will be able to present Jason Priestly's car on the show as well? But we are working on it. We also will have a sister website and it will be strictly Formula 1 which Brian Kennedy will be running solo. Vic, who runs One18 Racing.com, is currently working on the site and we should be up and running early into 2006?
Also, Gatorz is now entering Champ Car full swing and look for the new frames on some famous faces in the paddock. If anyone has any questions contact Cheryl@gatorz.com.
Everyone have a Happy New Year and be safe! The racing season is upon us again and will be possibly Paul Tracy's last season in Champ Car? Paul I hope you decide to hang with Champ Car for a few more years because the new chassis and awesome racing will not be the same without you! You're one the best ever in Champ Car and it will be a sad day for all of us if you leave while your on top.
God Bless
Gary & Patricia Pino (Chapparrels diecast)

Gary Pino has taken some time off!
Well only for a day. He took time off his diecasts to spend some time with the kindergarten class of 05-06. He read Christmas stories and just got to see what joy it brought to each and everyone of them. It was refreshing for him to get out of the shop and enjoy the holiday season.
Don't worry. Gary we'll be back in the dungeon working on his creations soon!

By mid-year, our cars will be remolded and we will have serious up-to-date designs for the current and past Champ Car grids. The castings will be here in a few weeks, along with new Reynard aero packages by the end of the month.
Also by summer, the Lolas will have the exact front wings made and all of these will be produced in high volume for me and this will aid me finally in getting cars produced at a much quicker rate and still with the quality and detail I demand on my cars. Camera pods are also being made for our cars, and we will have every type depending on the conversion.
This is a major step in aiding our fans getting their favorite drivers on their shelves, without the long wait.
Thank You for patient, and the first new Lola should hit the boards very soon.
Sincerely,
Gary Pino
